India is a unique nation that can boast of having one of the largest youth population in the world. A nation's wealth and strength are its youth and on those terms India is rich and strong. How the strength and skills of the youth are channelized is of great importance. The youngsters of today are at an advantage because they live in an era of great development especially in the areas of science and technology.

The scope and application of technical education is an issue of primary importance. In an age when most things can he engineered, educators need to give thought to the outcome of the finished product. In other words 'The Student'. Thus an institution needs to be engineered to meet the expectations of several - that of the student, the parents, the industry into which the candidate will be absorbed, and finally the society worldwide.

This institution, Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology which was formally established in September 2007 was set up with a determination of playing a very distinct role in shaping the destinies of the students who will be able to meet the requirements of a demanding and competitive world.

In order to forge the foundation and improve our human capital both qualitatively and quantitatively, appropriate educational training is offered by us to cover the entire spectrum of leaning. Since knowledge is the growth-driver in today's globalized world, we uphold the highest standards when imparting knowledge and integrating generic skills. This we achieve through our highly dedicated team of teaching staff, technical staff, administrative staff and non-teaching staff. Students these days not only need Practice skills but also need to be equipped to stand out among others. It is that cutting-edge quality that we tirelessly strive to maintain.

Studies alone do not help mould one's character. It is the institution, its location, its facilities and ambience that aid in the overall character development of a student. In our institution we emphasize on integrity and cultural sensitivity. Here, we shape an individual's ethical values. We do our sincere part in contributing to the evolution of National building. To know and experience this one needs to be a part of this Institution.

About M-SHIFT 2047

Conference Theme

We are proud to announce the "Ghost Manufacturing and Digital Supply Chain: Catalyzing Smart Industrial Transformation for Viksit Bharat 2047" conference — a groundbreaking two-day event organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Dr.N.G.P. Institute of Technology, with the support of the AllIndia Council for Technical Education (AICTE) under the prestigious VAANI Scheme 2.0 (Vibrant Advocacy for Advancement and Nurturing of Indian Languages).

This conference is centered on the emerging paradigm of ghost manufacturing—a data-driven, agile, and decentralized model of production—and its synergy with digitally integrated supply chains. Together, they are key enablers of smart industrial transformation essential to achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, a technologically advanced and economically resilient India.

The event will convene a diverse community of researchers, industry professionals, policymakers, technocrats, and students, offering a collaborative platform to explore next-gen manufacturing practices powered by AI, IoT, cyber-physical systems, cloud manufacturing, and blockchain in supply chains. The focus will be on sustainable, transparent, and highly responsive industrial systems.

Highlights include keynote addresses by national and international experts in smart manufacturing, panel discussions on digital policy and infrastructure, and technical sessions showcasing innovations from academia and industry. Real world examples will show how ghost manufacturing is being used in both India’s MSMEs and large industries.

We invite you to join us at this pivotal conference to be part of India's digital industrial transformation. Let us collectively shape a smarter, more inclusive, and future-ready manufacturing ecosystem for Viksit Bharat 2047.

Conference Objective

The Ghost Manufacturing and Digital Supply Chain conference is envisioned with a clear set of objectives aimed at accelerating India’s transition toward smart, digitally integrated, and globally competitive manufacturing systems in alignment with the Viksit Bharat 2047 mission. A key goal is to raise awareness about ghost manufacturing, an innovative method that separates physical production from traditional factories by using cloud-based, decentralized, and on-demand manufacturing systems.

The conference will serve as a catalyst for fostering innovation and interdisciplinary research in areas such as AI-driven manufacturing, cyber-physical production systems, digital twins, and smart supply chain management. It aims to provide a vibrant forum for scholars, technocrats, industry leaders, and policymakers to share insights, present breakthroughs, and highlight best practices for deploying these technologies at scale.

Another major goal is to facilitate meaningful collaboration between academia, industry, and government to address the challenges of industrial modernization, particularly for MSMEs. By fostering such connections, the conference seeks to enable the creation of scalable, sustainable, and resilient manufacturing ecosystems.

Ultimately, this event aspires to inspire actionable strategies, empower future-ready professionals, and shape a robust industrial framework that contributes to India’s long-term technological sovereignty and economic strength.
